WOW! Ya’ll brought it this month! Remember earlier in the month where I introduced y’all to a new hashtag? Well, it has taken off and let me just say, I was impressed with all of you who shared your projects and spaces with us. Some of you are bold in color while others are bold in pattern and I LOVE it! I have shared some of my favorites on instagram, but today I will be highlighting my absolute favorites….the ones that made my jaw drop.
My Bold Hues: Volume 1 Favorites
If you do not know who @Claire_Brody is, you might be living under a rock. She is hands down one of the most inspirational, talented, eclectic interior designers out there. She is an interior designer from Austin, Texas and she is seriously her own #girlboss! She recently just purchased her first home with her significant other. Her instagram feed features work she has done for clients and in her past rentals (Yes peeps, she shares tips on how to decorate your rental). I chose her for my #myboldhues favorite because she slays. Her color combos and patterns are breathtakingly beautiful.
@collectedhome…I just discovered her through this challenge and she is on fire! She lives in a 1940’s masterpiece and it is gorgeous. The photos she shared looked like you stepped into retro living. I love the different shades of purple and all the patterns she chose. It is just a nice step into the past. Another thing, look at the lines on that couch?…Gorgeous, eh? Go to #myboldhues or to @collectedhome and check out the other side of the room.
@Kailochic is one of those fun instagram accounts that I follow. Her feed is a lot more vibrant than my own, but she GOOD craft and DIY ideas. She shared this lovely tablescape with us and it was giving me 80’s pop vibe. Thanks @Kailochic for sharing!
The Maker, MakerISTA….Like Claire, you should be following her! I have been following her for a few years now and she never seems to disappoint. She is a traditionalist who loves color and you know, I appreciate that! I really like how she this modern bedroom and added her touch to it. Everything from the throw to the mustard quilt to the fringed blanket is perfection. I love it! She will be redecorating/remodeling her bedroom so I will be watching to see what her next move is. I am pretty sure it will be just as pretty or even prettier than what it is now. Love her! Check her out @themakerista
@ModernPups…So good. This picture was shared and had me like whoa! That pup looks so cute on that chair and fits in with the art. One of the things that I love the most about this image is the way the sun is shining in the room. It just seems like a happy place and the blood colors bring a smile to face. I love that they did not just use abstract pictures or art from one genre, but that it is a collection of art. Absolutely Stunning!
Did you know we feature DIY projects and crafts on #myboldhues? Well, we do. I really, REALLY, really love this painted cup. YoClark features some other ones that are just as pretty. I believe she sells them. Anyhow, I have yet to artistic ability in the form of abstract graffiti make it onto ceramic home decor and I wish I saw more of because this is in the realm of decor that I love. For more awesome pieces like this one, check @yoclark out!
Well, this does it for me and #MYBOLDHUES favorites. I hope that you have felt inspired to make magic happen and when you do, please share it with us via instagram and maybe just maybe you will be gracing the covers of our instagram feed or even a blog post. Oh-yeah! We love what you and and are so happy to have you supporting us. Thanks for following along and don’t forget to see if your favorites made it to the other gals sites.
