FINALLY! The day has come for me to reveal my vintage-eclectic foyer and sitting space with you. Sit back and enjoy, because you my friend…with be ah-mazed! Haha! I really like how this space turned out. The foyer is 100% me and the sitting room was decorated with decor that I already had on hand….so, I guess it is some reflection of my style. Nonetheless, it is still GOOD! Since this post is EXTREMELY long, I will let you sit and admire…not that much reading to do. You can check out the BEFORE pictures here and here!
This reveal has been sponsored. I have received product in return for this reveal. All thoughts are 100% mine and mine alone.
In our foyer I decided to keep it simple with minimal art and decor. The wallpaper is from Wallpaper Boulevard and is part of the Hygge & West Brand called Andanza. It is incredibly busy but very pleasing to the eye. It does not look as busy but there is a lot of pattern there. Since we do not use our front door much I decided to use one of my thrifted chairs to sit as guard by the door. I styled it with a using a pile of fun books (that I do read) and a low light plant. I desperately needed a basket by the mail slot because I am too lazy to check the mail and I thought it would be pretty genius if the basket gathered the mail instead of it falling to the ground. I know, I am a slacker.
I almost considered reupholstering this chair with a solid color. So happy that I did not!
This is seriously the best shot that I could get of this space. For some reason, the foyer was extremely hard for me to shoot. Anyhow, that runner is a Rugs USA. It is jute and the sides have some jute fringes which ties the foyers and the sitting room together. The sconce (I have two in the foyer) is from Lamps Plus and is super beautiful and oh my, it was the easiest thing in the room to install. NO LIE!
Vintage-Eclectic Sitting Room
The sitting room was white, now it is a flat black with a semi-gloss trim work. I really really love the look of the black. It feels so much more cozier. Most of the main pieces I already had. The art work and all decor I pulled from the garage or from my hoard closet. Both rugs are from World Market along with the coffee table and curtains. The mirror was mine (from Wayfair) and quite frankly this is the only space in the house that it would work in because it is just too dang tall. When standing straight up it hits the ceiling. This was probably the biggest item that needed repairing for this space. I DIY’d the mobile (more on that later). The swivel chairs are from Lamps Plus and I used it my rental house family room makeover for the 2016 ORC.
The accent table in between the chairs was a Target clearance find (I bought two along with the console table in the foyer).
Who said skulls were only for Halloween? My make-shift cookie jar planter. Hey, we never used it for cookies.
Remember when I created that faux succulent wreath? Well, it broke in the move, so I reused the succulent and moss and created little succulent gardens here and there.
Welp, that does it for this reveal. Hope you liked it. Don’t forget to check out the other gals spaces, I am pretty sure they all have some MAGIC brewing in their reveals!
