Last week, I shared my vintage-eclectic sitting room/foyer combo reveal for the New Year, New Room refresh challenge hosted by my girl, Stephanie from Casa Watkins Living. If you have checked out my Home Tour: Move-In edition, you would have noticed that the whole space look completely different…different color, bold patterns, chic furniture…but if you look close enough, the gaudy oh-so beautiful sconces were switched out for some Mid-century brass sconces. Prior to choosing this sconce, I asked myself, go matchy-matchy or crazy? I went crazy and with my gut. No regrets baby! With the sconce I chose in mind, I decided to compile a list 12 eclectically chic sconces under $400 all from Lamps Plus < You know I love them!
This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.
I teamed up with Lamps Plus back in December for my winter eclectic home tour and I kindly asked them to work with me on this room reveal. For my space, I decided I wanted to go crazy and I really wanted to go with a fixture that had a lasting impression in the space. I posed the question to my colleagues of whether or not I should match the finish to the chandelier in the dining room and the feedback I received gave me confidence that I was doing the right thing. I am most certainly not a put-together, same finish and look type of gal and the mid-century sconce by Kichler from Lamps Plus speaks to my soul like no other sconce has ever. The shape of the sconce is simple and modern and complements all the intricate patterns on the wallpaper nicely. It adds a bit of luxury to this dark space and reminds me of a cigar lounge.
So why share other sconce options? Well, I believe that all of these sconces that I have chosen are affordable and can be easily incorporated into any house style. I have everything from modern to traditional up there. If wanted, some of these can even pass for farmhouse. Light fixtures, like paint colors are just cosmetic basics to a home, it all depends on how you style your space and what speaks to you. Lamps Plus has such a huge variation and great prices. If brass or a gold finish is not your thang, some of these fixtures even come in another finish. If you are looking on switching out your light fixtures in your home remember, light fixtures are like jewelry accessories to a nice outfit…it all depends on how you style your outfit and the accessories used that makes the outfit great!…Just saying….it is part of the basics.
