It tis’ that time again…Over here in West Texas, it is warm during the day and freezing at night but I guess that is what you get in Texas during this time of year. I am rolling with it and watching as many Christmas movies that my heart can take and I have been slowly but surely decorating my house. This year, my extended family will be spending Christmas with us and I am so excited because not all of them have been to OUR house yet! Since we do not have a designated guest room, I decided to decorate my son’s room (the room my mother will be staying in) in Christmas decor. I decked his room out using pieces I already had, some are vintage and some stuff are more modern, but all in all, it adds a nice touch to his all American thrifted bedroom. This room will be the start of the Winter Eclectic Home Tour. Tomorrow, I will be sharing the deets on our main Christmas Tree, and I will close out the Winter tour on friday with a holiday tablescape fit for a king. Busy week folks, busy fun-filled, Christmas packed week!

I am a firm believer in spending as little as possible on seasonal decor, with that said, I shop after Christmas sales for anything “new”. I purchased this “Charlie Brown-esque” Christmas tree last year after Christmas from Target. It is actually taller than what is shown, but I decided to only use two tiers instead of three. I covered the base of the tree with a wool plaid blanket that I purchased at an estate sale. All of the ornaments on the tree are thrifted and vintage.
I purchased this deer from the thrift store. You can purchase a similar one, HERE.
Thes stick soldiers are my favorite. You just do not see this now-a-days!
I kept the bedding simple, by switching out the pillows. I decided to rock the red and blue in this room since it pars so well with all that it going on in this space. My friend recently got some cheap bedding using some checkout codes, so if you’re looking for bedding, look at coupons before you buy!
Lights off…
Lights on…
All of my nutcrackers were purchased at the thrift store.
Here is a glimpse of the side of the room that never makes my son’s room tour. I like to keep it simple but festive.
I used thrifted beads and knotted them to make for a festive beaded garland. To give this area a bit of pizazz, I draped the beads on the artwork and added holiday greenery to the ledge.
Welp, this does it for my first Christmas tour, If you haven’t already done so, you can check out my Vintage Christmas tour of sitting room, HERE, attached with a simple holiday DIY. You can view a mini tour of my foyer decorated for Christmas, HERE. While you are added, be sure to check out Desert Domicile to see all the magic she is brewing up in her home. Also, be sure to come back and visit the other tours that will be going on throughout the rest of the week!
