This is a sponsored post. All thoughts are mine and mine alone.
This past weekend, I posed the question (on instagram) of whether or not I should jump in and participate in the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda from Calling it Home. I received a ton of good feedback …so why not? Originally, I planned on participating and the closer it got to the official start date, I started stressing out. This move has not been the easiest for me. I have been dealing with the blues, kids, and all that needs to be done in this home. I haven’t even established a daily schedule yet; I have just been taking it one day at a time. The BIG push to me completing this room is that I am hosting Christmas this year and really needed this deadline to kick my butt into gear.
This is a horrible phone picture of what the main wall in my living room looked like prior to this makeover. The previous owner used all warm undertones and although beautifully done it was not the route I wanted to take with this house. I know I have not shared much of my home on my blog end, I have shared my thoughts and images with Domicile 37 insiders. If you want to become an insider and get all the INSIDE scoop, subscribe to my blog…subscription box located on the side bar of my site.
To catch you up to speed, my home was a 1950’s show-house, according to my realtor. One of the previous owners was also an interior designer…so, let me just say…my house has that magic touch! Haha! upholstered walls, partition doors, and built-ins galore. I love my new house and it is crazy beautiful….so much potential!
This week I will only be sharing past progress and current room status. I shared my plans for the room, HERE. On a later date I will get into actual products used for this project, but I have to give a huge shout out to Wagner for helping me take this daunting task to the next level.
I recently shared my Halloween mantel, you can see the finished color there. That part of the room I do not plan on focusing at this moment. I am searching for a particular furniture piece to sit in front of my fireplace but I am just running in circles with no luck. This room is so big, I have broken it up into 3 different areas. It literally measures 28 feet long by 20 feet wide…HUGE, huh?
Here is the current stage of my living room. I still need to paint that door, add some hardware to the doors, touch up the floor, hang curtains, set up furniture, and decorate. Hopefully, I can get the bulk of this work done this weekend.
