This post is done in collaboration with Nostalgic Warehouse. All thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone. I will be sharing how I added much needed bling to my bathroom makeover.

When designing a space do you stop to think about the everyday functional details? I have slowly but surely been switching out the little details that often are overlooked. In my most recent makeover, my French Gothic inspired bathroom, no small detail went unnoticed. In fact, the details in this space shine brighter than the North Star. For my bathroom makeover, I collaborated with the one and only, Nostalgic Warehouse. I have used their products in other areas in my home and I personally a big fan!

Cabinet Bling
A simple update to any bathroom would be to switch out the knobs. Think about the mood you want to create and go from there. I wanted soul, so I went with these New York style brass knobs from Nostalgic Warehouse. These knobs add a much needed visual weight and simplicity to the cabinetry without taking away from the style of the cabinet itself.

Towel Bling
When we were designing this particular area, we wanted to hang the hooks on the tiled wall, but after the wall was framed out we realized how close it was to the closet door. We needed somewhere to hang our towels, so we recreated the coat hook rack that I created in our hallway. We used the Schoolhouse style coat hooks. Again, they are simple and functional in this showroom of a space. I can hang my towel and bonnet on here without it falling off. I love the fact that I can hang multiple things at one time. “Soul” is the mood we are running with in this bathroom, so we kept with the brass finishes…antique brass to be specific. Just my opinion, but antique brass is the classiest of all brass finishes.

Door Bling

Don’t fret the details they say….but if you are gonna splurge on one detail, splurge on doorknobs. We touch them daily without giving them an ounce of thought after their function. This everyday detail just might be the diamond in the room. The thing that makes people say, “wow”, with stars in their eyes. All of the doorknobs in my house are blinged out with Nostalgic Warehouse knobs. All the bathroom doors have glass doorknobs, while the bedroom doors have egg and dart style knobs. Since this bathroom is stylistically complicated, I went with a simple round crystal clear knob in an antique brass finish.

Blinged Out Covers
Last, but not least, adding the much needed bling to switch plates and outlet covers is what the world…or at least what my world needs. I just love how the brass reflects off the wall and can add that much needed warmth to a space. I like my details simple but impactful. The smallest of detail can make the biggest statement.

Just how you would accessorize your outfit of the day, don’t skip on the everyday details that make your house a home.
