We finally crossed the finish line!!!!! I have been running errands and trying so hard to get “stuff” done, that I have been a bit MIA, but I am still here and I can gladly say, I FINISHED! For this fall One Room Challenge (hosted by Calling it Home) I decided to get the ball rolling and complete my new to me family room. But before I go into details about it I want you take a good look at what truly made a difference in my space. Please note, I love old homes full of charm and that is solely the reason why I would never buy new. With that said, I am not the type of designer to rip out the charm from a stable “older” home to fit the “modern” perspective of what a home should look like. I have no intentions of creating imitations in my home in terms of switching out cabinetry, covering up paneling, etc. What I do this home is a reflection of my personal style while trying to preserve the charm of the home that I have fallen in love with.
Now that I got that off of my chest, I just wanted to give a huge shout-out to Wagner, without them this room would have taken me forever to complete. To get this room in tip-top shape I was given the Wagner Flexio 890 paint sprayer to use. This sprayer cut my painting in half by a week (haha) AND by using it I did not have to hand paint the grooves in my paneling. As you scroll through this reveal, please note how paint can add a much needed facelift to dull space.
