Hello peeps! New year, new design challenge this time hosted by my gal, Stephanie from Casa Watkins Living. This is year 4 of this challenge. You can check out my master bedroom shared closet, vintage eclectic sitting room and foyer, and rental dining room by clicking on the links. This year for the New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge I will be working on my laundry room per request from the mister.
The Laundry Room
The laundry room is tightly configured and laid out in a way that doesn’t make sense but works. Ideally, I would have loved to switch the sink and washer, but that is not happening anytime soon. In a perfect world, I would have also removed that cabinet right above the washer as it gets in our way when we are doing laundry. This challenge, will be different from previous years where I went full out and this my friends will only be a true refresh.
The Dreaded Water Closet
So we have a water closet in our laundry room…I’d be lying if I said it is not needed. It will definitely come in handy when we finish it up. Again, another tight space to work in. Sorry about leaving the toilet seat up, at least the toilet is clean.
Plans and Moodboard
I am trying to keep my plans for this space quite simple since we only have a month to complete it and I don’t want to drown myself into it and stress myself out over it. I plan to wallpaper either the laundry room or the water closet. Milton and King is our wallpaper sponsor, so I was hoping that once I physically see the wallpaper it will help me decide what to do and which paint colors to use. Whichever space is not getting wallpapered will be painted. The real upgrade will be to the sink area as I will receive a concrete application. I really do not know exactly what I want to do in this space except for what you see on my moodboards. I know, I know…Jessica is stumped for the first time. Which moodboard do you like, let me know. As of right now, it is all up in the air.
If you plan to makeover a space this month, please do link up! I would love to see how you refresh your space this season.
