The days are long, our backs are aching, and I am mentally stressed. As I write this post, I cannot help but to admit that I was feeling a bit down because I don’t have any pretty photos to share. Not much has changed here, just a lot of building and tearing down of things. The one big take away from this weeks One Room Challenge is that the electricians did a days full of work and we have working lights in the bathroom. This weekend we plan on adding cement board and sheetrock to the walls. Slow and steady I keep telling myself.

This week, I also found out that my tile is backordered. With that said, I am currently hunting tile installers as my husband feels that it is best if we hire it out since we will be in a time crunch. I received confirmation from the ORC representatives that I have until the 22nd of November to post my link. Again, slow and steady wins the race.

We did not think we would have to switch out the subfloor only where they laid particle board, but the previous homeowners cut such a huge hole in the floor, we had no choice. We will eventually use a self leveler over the floors.

I try to do as much as I can while the mister is working. I cut and configured this frame, the mister is just using the framing nail to to nail it in. I get so much blowback from it that the nail doesn’t ever go in all the way even when I adjust the pressure.

I had huge hopes of installing cement board, but that did not happen, so up when the trash bags so mice and rodents don’t come in.

We went with a recommendation CMW Electric in Lubbock to do the electrical work. They had the best quote and were one of the only electricians in town that did not keep cancelling on us.
