Sharing how we created an additional living space on our front porch using the vintage inspired, Lark Manor Catharine outdoor furniture, from Wayfair and how we are chilling barefoot on the patio.
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Wayfair. All thoughts are 100% mine and mine alone.
Hey guys! This summer I have been swamped in projects. One of the projects that I had set aside to do this summer was to create an outdoor living area where my family can just sit and chill. We’ve not been focussing on our outdoor space in recent years so I thought it was time to change this. After that, I’ll start thinking about what I can add to our garden to make it look better because it’s a bit plain at the moment. I basically want to transform the space to make sure it matches the effort we’ve put on our interior!
Thankfully, Wayfair read my mind and approached me take part in their summer campaign. I ended up receiving this outdoor set, Lark Manor Catharine outdoor furniture, from them. Y’all know I am a vintage snob, so when I saw this set scroll across the screen I knew it would be perfect for my 1950’s home. The scroll work and chipping on the furniture are things that you can only get in aged furniture. I am so thankful that this set has all the character that I love and it doesn’t look like anything you would see in a big box store.
I added this striped rug to modernize the space a bit but to also add that cozy, homey vibe to this outdoor space. This is truly a space where we kick our shoes off and just hang out barefoot and all. We have already eaten breakfast here and my girls have watched the summer rain pour while practicing their sewing skills. Although metal, the chairs are comfortable and they do NOT need any seat cushions. The front of the chairs have a nice curve that follow the curve of your legs that you can appreciate when you are sitting on it. This set is lightweight and can be easily transported around the house.
I added some greenery to help soften the metal accents. The plants are low maintenance outdoor plants which I like, because come on now….y’all already know, I am lazy when it comes to caring for for plants.
As I brought all the furniture out to the front patio, the mister responded with, “this is how it is suppose to be.” I feel so blessed to work with such an awesome brands and I can definitely see us spending more time out here as a family. Something as simple as getting outdoor furniture can make such a difference to the overall aesthetic.
I topped this space off by hanging up one of my most cherished findings a signage from a shop that closed down years ago. If you are like me and like a bit of vintage inspired pieces, I encourage you to check out this set from Wayfair. It is easy to assemble, light-weight, and would look amazing outdoors, in a pea gravel yard, or even in a sunroom.
Here are a couple of projects that I finished earlier this summer:
