This post is done in collaboration with Wayfair and Nostalgic Warehouse. All opinions are 100% mine and mine alone.
One of my must-haves to buying our first home was it absolutely had to have charm and could not be built after 1980. Since moving in we have been doing some extensive redecorating. I literally had no plans to knock anything down or replace the old with new. However, when a cool company approaches you to collaborate with them on their door knobs and they have coolest collection of vintage reproduction knobs, you switch them out no questions asked! Haha! The one thing I have only desired to maintain in my home is the vintage touches. I want to bring back the old but in a sophisticated and classy way. With everyone knocking down history, I want to keep it and build on it by mixing and matching decor styles.
I can only suspect that the door knobs in my home have been switched up. They were your typical door knobs painted with a copper finish. Not bad, but not vintage or charm worthy. There are so many great elements in my home and I want to love it all and with Nostalgic Warehouse door knobs, I can do just that. We installed the knobs on our passage door that leads to our private spaces (bedroom and baths) and it adds that classic touch against the black doors that will make your guest oooh and awe. The door knob I chose to add that special touch to my house is the Crystal Glass Passage Door Knob with Egg and Dart. What I love most about it besides the fact that it looks like a rockstar on that door is the crystal door knob and all the intricate detail on the face plate. It is truly stunning! On the website it shows the face plate facing downwards but since our door knobs are low we decided to flip it upwards. By doing this it brings our eye up instead of down.
One of the reasons I decided to take on this collaboration was because everyone and their mama seems to want to get rid of the old, they find reasons to remove it without thinking twice. Nostalgic Warehouse is a door hardware company that specializes in vintage hardware that takes pride in giving your home those classic, vintage touches that you may desire. I have yet to see any vintage-esque door knobs floating around so I thought I would round up 11 of my favorite vintage reproduction door knobs from Nostalgic Warehouse for under $150.
